Punta Mujeres is a small (non tourist) village on the coast in the North of Lanzarote. It is very picturesque, wandering along the front reminds me of quaint Cornish villages until you stumble upon the Spanish bars and restaurants to remind you that you’re in Spain.

There are a surprising number of little supermarkets dotted around the village, Las Rosas – the bakery and a good selection of restaurants. Palenke usually offers live Spanish entertainment on a Friday evening and has a wood fired grill that produces some excellent food, its hidden on a side street but well worth seeking out and the best in the village. The bar La Piscina is a no frills, great location bar, you have to sit at one of the outside tables in the daytime overlooking the most popular sea pool with a cold beer to enjoy. Tres Lunas is popular at the weekend, typical Spanish menu including fresh fish and direct sea views.
